Have you ever seen those soothing sound machines?
They play soothing sounds to get you to relax and fall asleep.
-heartbeat
-ocean waves
-summer rain
-white noise
-lullabies
-etc.
These would all make me pass out pretty quickly.
Then I saw this model at work yesterday. I took this picture with my camera phone, and it doesn't have a focus. Sorry for the general blurriness.

Dear Conair,
I would like to know who the person is that suggested that blaring horns and clanking metal would be soothing.
Please fire him/her immediately.

Brittany
Ha! that makes me laugh, you may not remember the Lucille Ball episode, when they all stayed in a motel, and train kept running by all night long. The vibrations made the beds scoot across the floor. And the flashing lights, and horns blaring,...funny episode.
ReplyDeleteYears ago, when people traveled by train more often, they had those sleeping cars, maybe that was a soothing sound for some.
Don't know about me though.
Have you ever had to sleep with dead silence?...sometimes noise is soothing.
