Though I'm not much of a scrapbooker (though sometimes I do scrapbook), I know the Cricut can do so much for home decor.
My favorites: stenciling and vinyl decals.
So here's my first home project with it:
Personalized Pot
-------------------------
I have this awesome metal bucket that I use for a plant.
So I got out my Cricut to begin cutting my stencil (yes, that's cardboard from a beer box, because honestly, why would I want to pay $10 for Cricut's stenciling mat for something that I'll only use once?)I taped it on the bucket and began stamping.
Then I dropped in a bird house that my eldest made for me with scrap wood.
Much more personality ;)
You are my kind of girl!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that you used cardboard from the beer. Hilarious, and totally something I would do--- if I had a cricut. (feel free to post a comment on my post, to explain to my hubby why I must HAVE one!) giggle
The bucket is great, and with the birdhouse, even sweeter.
Great job, can't wait to see what else you come up with!

Well, instead of going out and buying tons of expensive vinyl decals for your home, expensive stencils (and we all know that you always end up "settling" on whatever crappy stencil the stores have), and very VERY expensive scrapbooking supplies, you can make your own for a one-time fee!
ReplyDeleteLOL, I hope that explains it well enough to your hubby!
Great idea, I have all galvanized buckets as planters outside even a huge watering tub. I am going to have to come up with something to put on some of them. Thanks for inspiring me.
ReplyDeletecute, I love things with numbers on it.
ReplyDeleteGalvanized plus numbers = awesome to me! Love the rustic goodness on this one.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up!
